About FOUNDROOTS

About FOUNDROOTS

FOUNDROOTS is an independent historical and genealogical research practice dedicated to documenting, preserving, and interpreting underrepresented histories and cultural landscapes.

The work focuses on African American history, community formation, and the historical context of places that are often overlooked in traditional records. Through careful archival research, field-based inquiry, and interdisciplinary analysis, FOUNDROOTS produces research that supports cultural resource management (CRM), heritage preservation, and family history documentation.
